A call to action: Join the Fun Ambassadors

Having fun on the golf course has become an increasingly elusive concept. Golf used to be a game that encouraged players to roam through nature with friends and family, with the opportunity to enjoy one another’s company. Now, it’s seemingly all about how hard we can make the game and how fast we can play.

That’s why Morning Read has launched the Fun Ambassadors program. It’s time to restore fun to the game.

Every event that will be part of the Fun Ambassadors program has one prominent goal: to offer a great time on the golf course.

With the launch, we are offering two events that are guaranteed to be fun for participants.

The 10th anniversary of the Grey Goose World Par 3 Championship is set to return to Turtle Hill Golf Course at Fairmont Southampton in Bermuda on March 7-10. The 36-hole tournament, which will be played March 8-9, is all about having fun on one of the best vacation islands.

This year’s World Par 3 includes Chip Beck, a four-time PGA Tour winner, and golf personality Charlie Rymer as hosts, plus Barry Lane, who won five times on the European Tour, and Trish Johnson, a 19-time Ladies European Tour champion.

In 1991, after two consecutive losses and a tie in the previous Ryder Cup matches, the Americans needed a victory against the Europeans, and they got it in what became known as the “War by the Shore.” The Ryder Cup put Kiawah Island, S.C., on the golf map. Since then, the resort has been a must-visit destination.

The Fun Ambassadors will visit Kiawah Island Golf Resort on March 10-12. The package includes three nights at The Sanctuary Hotel and three rounds of golf – at Osprey Point, Turtle Point and the Ocean Course – in what promises to be a fun experience with other like-minded golfers.

So, make March a fun month. Take a trip to the Grey Goose Par 3 in Bermuda on March 7-10 or visit South Carolina’s Lowcountry and experience Kiawah Island on March 10-12.
